Here's how to set up, change or disable the screen lock option (PIN or password) for your CTL Chromebook.
If you would like to change how you sign in on your CTL® Chromebook NL71CT-L, follow these step-by-step instructions.

Password

  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Launcher Launcher
    Settings
    .
  2. In the People section, tap or click
    Security and sign-in
    .
  3. Enter the current password Gmail™ password for the account shown, then tap or click
    Confirm
    .
  4. Select Password only.
  5. The password is the main Gmail account password and is used to unlock the Chromebook. For help with changing the password, visit this Gmail Help page.

PIN or password

A PIN is created to unlock the device instead of the Gmail password.
  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Launcher Launcher
    Settings
    .
  2. In the People section, tap or click
    Security and sign-in
    .
  3. Enter the current password Gmail™ password for the account shown, then tap or click
    Confirm
    .
  4. Select PIN or password.
  5. Tap
    Set up PIN
    .
  6. Enter a numeric PIN (minimum of 6 digits) then tap
    CONTINUE
    .
  7. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap
    OK
