Here's how to adjust screen brightness and other display settings (Screen saver, Display size, etc.) for your Nokia 8 V 5G UW.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Display
    .
  3. Do any of the following:
    • Adjust Brightness Settings
      1. Tap
        Brightness level
         then adjust the slider as preferred.
      2. Tap
        Adaptive brightness
         to turn on or off.
    • Adjust Display / Font Settings
      1. Tap
        Advanced
         Advanced icon.
      2. Tap
        Screen timeout
         then select an option (e.g., 30 seconds, 2 minutes, etc.).
      3. Tap
        Font size
         then touch and hold the
        blue dot
         to select an option (Small, Default, etc.).
      4. Tap
        Display size
         then touch and hold the
        blue dot
         to select an option (Small, Default, etc.).
      5. To control what happens when the phone is docked or charging:
        1. Tap
          Screen saver
          .
        2. Tap
          Current screen saver
           to select a setting (e.g., Clock, Colors, etc.).
        3. Tap
          When to start
           then choose an option (e.g., While charging, While docked, While charging or docked, Never).
