Nokia 8 V 5G UW - Customize Your Home Screen
Personalizing the Home screen on your Nokia 8 V 5G UW makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.
Add Apps
- From the Apps screen, touch and hold an app.
- Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen.
Add Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
- TapWidgets.
- Touch and hold a widget.
- Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.
- If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.
Add / Remove Folders
- From a Home screen, touch and hold an app (e.g., Calendar).
- Drag the app onto another app (e.g., Gmail) then release it to add an unnamed folder.
- Do one of the following:
- To rename the folder:
- Tap the folder.
- Tap theTitle barat the bottom of the open folder.
- Enter a name then tap theCheckmark icon.
- To remove a folder:
- Drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
Remove Apps / Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, apps, etc.).
- Drag the item to 'Uninstall' or 'Remove' (top-center) then release.Some pre-installed apps (e.g., Gmail™ Gallery, etc.) can't be deleted from a Home screen.Removing an app from a Home screen uninstalls it from your device.
- From the 'Uninstall this app?' screen, tapDelete.
Set Wallpaper
- Touch and hold a blank space on a Home screen.
- TapWallpapers.
- Do one of the following:
- Select an image from Photos:
- TapMy photos.
- Navigate to the applicable folder and select an image.
- Preview the desired image then tapSET WALLPAPER.
- Select a default image:
- Tap one of the wallpaper categories (e.g., Life, Landscapes, Textures, etc.) then select an image.
- Preview the desired image then tapSET WALLPAPER.
