Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your Galaxy S21 5G / S21+ 5G / S21 Ultra 5G to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap any of the following to configure:
    • Network name
    • Password
      1. Tap the
        Password field
         to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the preferred password then tap
        Save
        .
    • Band (e.g., 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz)
    • Security (e.g., Open, WPA2-Personal, etc)
  4. To adjust Timeout settings, tap any option then tap
    Advanced
    .
  5. Tap
    Turn off when no device connected for
     then select the preferred option (e.g., Never timeout, 5 minutes, etc.).
  6. Tap
    Save
    .
