Add / Remove Neighborhood FilterHere's how to block robocalls from specific area codes and prefixes via the Call Filter app.
Before you begin
Before completing the steps below, you must enable Call Blocking & Identification.
Neighborhood Filter is an app-based feature, and can only be used by customers who are eligible to use the Call Filter app.
Adding a neighborhood filter can silence legitimate calls from the area code and prefix you've blocked, unless the specific numbers are saved in your phone's contact list. You can add up to 5 neighborhood filters if subscribed to Call Filter Free or up to 10 with Call Filter Plus.
Call Filter Plus subscribers on an Android device can add an area code filter to block calls from a specific area code.
If the Silence Unknown Callers or Silence Junk Callers feature is turned on an iPhone, calls from unknown numbers are automatically sent to Voicemail regardless of Call Filter settings.
Steps
- Open theCall Filter app.
- Navigate: .
- To block calls from numbers similar to your own, tap theBlock similar to mine switchto turn on or off.
- To block calls from other phone numbers:
- TapAdd new.
- Enter the first 6 digits of the desired number block then tapAdd.
- To remove a neighborhood filter, tapRemovenext to the filter then tapConfirm.
Allow Number to Bypass Neighborhood Filter
- From the Recent tab in the Call Filter app, tapBlocked.
- Tap a blocked call entry.
- TapAllow.To remove an Allowed number, tapUnallowfrom the Caller details page where you previously allowed the number or from the Allowed tab within the Block tab.
Add Area Code Filter (Android Only)
- Open theCall Filter app.These steps are only available for Call Filter Plus. Refer to Subscribe to Call Filter Plus for more info.
- Navigate:
- Enter the desired 3-digit area code then tapAdd.To remove an area code filter, tapRemovenext to the filter then tapConfirm.
