Enable / Disable eSIM Profile

If you previously activated an embedded SIM (eSIM) on your Apple® iPad®, follow these instructions to turn its cellular data capabilities on or off.

Before you begin

The steps below apply to the following iPad models:
  • iPad Pro (2021) and newer models
  • iPad (7th generation and 8th generation) activated on a business account.
The compatible iPad models only use one active SIM profile at a time and aren't Dual SIM Dual Standby compatible.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Cellular Data
    .
    If the Select Carrier section is viewable, either add a cellular plan or contact Customer Service to have a eSIM profile reserved for your device.
  3. From the Cellular Plans section, tap the line for the eSIM to enable or disable the profile.
