Pixel 6 / 6 Pro - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, Hotspot name, etc.) on your Pixel 6 / 6 Pro.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Hotspot & tethering
    Wi-Fi hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Use Wi-Fi hotspot
     then tap to turn on.
  4. From the Wi-Fi hotspot screen, set up the following.
    • Hotspot name
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA2-Personal, etc.)
    • Hotspot password
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      1. Tap the Hotspot password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
  5. Tap
    Turn off hotspot automatically
     to turn on or off.
  6. Tap
    Speed & compatibility
     then select an option (2.4 GHz or 5GHz).
