Windows 11 - Check Device Storage

If your Windows® 11 device is running low on storage, it can cause crashes, slow performance, freezing apps, etc. Check your available memory to prevent these issues.
If your device isn't running Windows 11, refer to Windows 10 instructions.
  1. From the Windows desktop, navigate:
    Start Start menu icon
    Settings
    System
    (left-panel).
  2. Tap or click
    Storage
    .
  3. From the Storage Usage section, view the free space (e.g., 145 GB free).
  4. To view additional storage (e.g., Pictures, Documents, etc., tap
    Show more categories
