Keep your files backed up or manage your storage limits with ease. Turn automatic OneDrive backup on or off on your Windows® 11 computer to customize your cloud sync settings.

Before you begin

OneDrive is turned on by default.

Turn Automatic Backup On

  1. Open the
    Start menu
  2. Navigate:
    All apps
    OneDrive
    .
  3. If prompted, sign in to connect and sync your files.

Turn Automatic Backup Off

To turn off OneDrive, refer to Turn off or uninstall OneDrive.
