MOTO G POWER (2022) - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, etc.) on your moto g power (2022).
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Mobile Hotspot & Tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap the
    Mobile Hotspot switch
     to turn on.
  4. From the Mobile Hotspot screen, configure the following as needed:
    • Hotspot name (SSID)
    • Hide my device
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA3-Personal, WPA2/WPA3-Personal, etc.)
    • Hotspot password
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      1. Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
  5. Tap
    Extend compatibility
     to turn on or off the use of the 2.4 GHz hotspot:

    Manage devices
     to restrict which devices are allowed to connect.
  7. Tap
    Manage allowed devices
    .
  8. Tap
    Allow all devices
     to enable or disable.
  9. To add, tap
    Add allowed device
     enter the MAC address and device name then tap
    OK
    .
  10. Tap
    Device limit
     then select an option (e.g., 1-10).
  11. Tap
    Timeout settings
     then select a preferred option (e.g., Never turn-off, 5 mins, etc).
