TCL 30 V 5G - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, timeout settings, etc.) on your TCL 30 V 5G.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Hotspot & tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Set up Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. From the Setup Mobile Hotspot screen, configure the following as needed:
    • Network name (SSID)
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA2-Personal, etc.)
    • Password
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      1. Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        SAVE
        .
    • Show password
    • Select AP Band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)
    • Maximum connections (e.g., 1 user, 8 users, etc.)
  5. Tap
    SAVE
    .
  6. Tap
    Timeout settings
     then select the preferred option (e.g., Never turn-off, 5 mins, etc.).
  7. From the 'CONNECTED USERS' section, tap
    BLOCK
     next to the device you want to disconnect.
    To remove the block, tap
    UNBLOCK
    next to the preferred device under the 'BLOCKED USERS' section.
