Orbic Speed 5G - Turn SSID Broadcast On / Off

Here's how to display or not display the Wi-Fi name of your Orbic Speed 5G to other devices.
  • Your Orbic® Speed 5G™ has a network name or SSID (Service Set Identifier) assigned to it.
  • The SSID is typically broadcast by default, but can be turned off for greater security.
  • When turned off, any device attempting to connect for the first time must know the network (SSID) name and password to set up a manual connection to it.
    For the easiest connection experience, it's recommended to leave broadcast on.
  2. From the top menu, click

  3. From the left menu, navigate:
    Wi-Fi
    Primary Network tab
    .
  4. Click
    Broadcast primary network name (SSID)
     to turn on or off.
    On (broadcasting) when a checkmark is present.
    You can also hide the guest network name (from the Guest Network tab).
  5. Click
    Save Changes
