Orbic Speed 5G - MAC Filtering

Here's how to control MAC address access for your Orbic Speed 5G.
  • MAC Filter is an advanced setting. Contact your local IT admin prior to altering it.
  • If turned on, only the devices added to the MAC address filter list can access your Orbic® Speed 5G™ primary Wi-Fi network.
  • This MAC filter has no effect on the guest Wi-Fi network or USB devices.
  2. From the top menu, click
    Configuration

    Settings
  3. From the left menu, navigate:
    Advanced Settings
    Firewall tab
    .
  4. Tap the dropdown menu next to MAC Filter and select
    Enable
    .
  5. Click
    Save Changes
    .
  6. From the 'Confirm' prompt, tap
    OK
     to confirm.
  7. Once MAC Filter has been enabled, navigate:
    Advanced Settings
    MAC Filter tab
    .
  8. From the 'Status' section, tap the menu dropdown and select from the following options:
    • Whitelist
      : Only allows devices with the selected MAC address to connect
    • Blacklist
      : Only denies devices with the selected MAC address from connecting to the internet.
  9. Do any of the following:
    • Add a device to the list:
      1. Click
        Add
         (lower-left).
      2. Configure/enter the following:
        • MAC Address
      3. Click
        OK
         next to the MAC address field.
      4. Click
        Save Changes
         (lower-right).
    • Delete a device on the MAC filtering list:
      1. Click
        Delete
         next to the appropriate MAC address.
      2. Click
        Save Changes
