Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your Pixel 6a to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security..

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Hotspot & tethering
    Wi-Fi hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Use Wi-Fi hotspot
     then tap to turn on.
  4. From the Wi-Fi hotspot screen, set up the following.
    • Hotspot name
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA2-Personal, etc.)
    • Hotspot password
      1. Tap the Hotspot password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
    • Band (2.4 GHz or 5GHz)
  5. Tap
    Turn off hotspot automatically
     to turn on or off.
