Inseego MiFi X PRO 5G UW - Turn SSID Broadcast On / Off

Here's how to display or not display the Wi-Fi name of your Inseego MiFi X PRO 5G UW to other devices.
  • Your Inseego MiFi® X PRO 5G UW has a network name or SSID (Service Set Identifier) assigned to it.
  • The SSID is typically broadcast by default, but can be turned off for greater security.
  • When turned off, any device attempting to connect for the first time must know the network (SSID) name and password to set up a manual connection to it.
    For the easiest connection experience, it's recommended to leave broadcast on.
  2. From the Wi-Fi section, click the
    Navigation arrow
     Navigation arrow (lower-right) to open the Wi-Fi settings page.
  3. Click the
    Primary Network tab
    .
  4. In the 'Other Settings' section, click
    Broadcast primary network name (SSID)
     to turn on or off.
    On (broadcasting) when a check mark is present.
  5. Click
    Hide primary network name (SSID) on the touchscreen
     to turn on or off.
    You can also hide the guest network name on the touchscreen (from the Guest Network tab).
  6. Click
    Save Changes
