Activate / Set Up Device

Activate your ThinkPad X13s to get started. This ensures you can connect to the internet.

Before you begin

Make sure the SIM card is inserted in the device.

Steps

  1. Press the
    Power Button
     to turn on laptop then select a language.
  2. Select a region and the preferred keyboard layout, then select
    Yes
    .
  3. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  4. Review the Windows® 11 License Agreement then select
    Accept
    .
  5. Enter a name for your device then select
    Next
    .
  6. Choose how you would use the device then select
    Next
    :
    • Set up for personal use
    • Set up for work or school
  7. Sign in with Microsoft®, enter an email address, phone or Skype™ account then tap or click
    Next
    .
  9. Select
    Create PIN
    , enter a PIN, re-enter the PIN then select
    OK
    .
  10. Choose privacy settings for your device, adjust as desired and select
    Accept
     then follow the onscreen prompts to continue setup.
  11. From the 'Protect your device' screen, enter the info then tap or click
    Next
     to set up the device on your Lenovo ID profile.
