Samsung Galaxy Watch5 / Galaxy Watch5 Pro - Factory Data Reset (Powered Off)
Here's how to factory / hard reset your Galaxy Watch5 / Galaxy Watch5 Pro if the screen freezes or call, app, audio or sync issues occur and the device won't start up.
Performing a factory data reset removes all data from the device. Only perform a reset if absolutely necessary.
Read these instructions in their entirety before attempting.
- Ensure your watch is powered off.If your device is responsive and can be powered on, the preferred reset method should be performed.
- Press and hold thePower / HomeandBack buttonson the right edge of the device until 'Samsung' appears on the screen then release.
- Press thePower / Home buttonrepeatedly until the Reboot screen appears.
- SelectRecovery.Press and release the Power / Home button to cycle through options then press and hold it to select.
- Press theBack buttonto navigate to 'Wipe data / factory reset' then press thePower / Home button.Once the factory reset is performed, data is removed and you're returned to the 'Recovery' screen.
- From the 'Recovery' screen, press thePower / Home buttonto select 'Reboot system now'.Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.If applicable, set up your device.
