Google Pixel Watch - Switch Paired Phone

Here's how to unpair your Pixel Watch from your current phone and then pair with a new one.
  • The steps below only apply when you need to connect your existing Pixel Watch to a new Android™ smartphone.
  • For activation of a replacement Pixel Watch, refer to Replace Existing Device
  • Before completing the steps below, verify:

From the Watch

  1. From the watch screen, tap the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    System
    Disconnect & reset
    .
  3. Review the message then tap
    Checkmark icon
    .
    Optional: tap 'Erase downloaded SIM'.
    The watch resets and all data is deleted (takes up to 10 minutes).
  4. Open the
    Google Pixel Watch app
     on the new companion smartphone.
  5. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete activation.
    If necessary, refer to Activate / Set Up Device for assistance.

From the Companion Device

  1. Open the
    Google Pixel Watch app
     on your companion device.
  2. Navigate:
    System
    Reset and unpair watch
    .
  3. To confirm tap
    Reset
    .
    Optional: tap 'Erase downloaded SIM'.
  4. Open the
    Google Pixel Watch app
     on the new companion smartphone.
  5. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete activation.
    If necessary, refer to Activate / Set Up Device for assistance.
