Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your Galaxy S23 / S23+ / S23 Ultra to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Configure any of the following:
    • Network name
    • Security (e.g., Open, WPA2-Personal, etc.)
    • Password
      1. Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the new password then tap
        Save
        .
    • Band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz preferred)
  4. Tap
    Advanced
    .
  5. Tap
    Turn off when no device connected for
     then select an option (e.g., Never timeout, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 60 minutes, etc.).
  6. Tap
    Save
    .
