Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your Pixel 7a to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Hotspot & tethering
    Wi-Fi hotspot
    .
  3. From the Wi-Fi hotspot screen, set up the following:
    • Hotspot name
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA2-Personal, etc.)
    • Hotspot password
      1. Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the preferred password then tap
        OK
        .
  4. Tap
    Turn off hotspot automatically
     to turn on or off.
  5. Tap
    Speed & compatibility
     then select 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.
