Here's how to set up and remove facial recognition on your Pixel Fold.

Ensure a secure lock screen type has been set up.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Security & privacy

Device unlock

Fingerprint & Face Unlock

Enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.

Tap

Face Unlock

Do one of the following:

For first-time setup:

Review the info then tap

I agree

Review the info then tap

Start

From the 'Help made Face Unlock better' screen, read the disclaimer then tap

I agree

Confirm

to participate or tap

Skip

to decline.

While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the circle displayed on-screen.

From the 'Looks good!' screen, tap

Done

To remove face data:

From the 'Face Unlock' menu, tap

Delete face model

To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap

Delete
