TCL TAB 8 Plus - Power Up in Safe Mode

Safe mode is a diagnostic state on your TAB 8 Plus that only runs system apps so you can isolate if a third-party app is causing freezing or slowness.
  1. Ensure that your tablet isn't connected to a computer via the USB cable.
  2. With the device powered off, press and hold the
    Power button
     until the TCL logo appears then release.
    An alternate method is available if the device can be powered on and is responsive.
  3. Approximately 2-3 seconds after the TCL logo appears, press and hold the
    Volume Down
     button.
    If pressed too soon, the device won't boot into Safe Mode.
  4. Continue to hold the
    Volume Down button
     until 'Safe mode' appears in the lower-left of the screen then release.
    This may take up to 45 seconds.
  5. With Safe Mode enabled, test device and app functionality.
  6. To turn Safe Mode off, restart the tablet.
    Airplane Mode needs to be turned off when the tablet restarts.
