Samsung Galaxy S24 / Galaxy S24 Ultra - Reset App
Here's how to reset apps if your Galaxy S24 / Galaxy S24+ / Galaxy S24 Ultra crashes, resets or freezes.
Personal data such as browser bookmarks and other customized app settings can be backed up to Google's servers.
- Open theSettings app.
- TapApps.
- Do any of the following:
- Reset Individual AppResetting an app doesn't remove saved items on the device (e.g., texts, pictures, voicemails, etc.); however, saved passwords for Wi-Fi, settings, backgrounds, etc. within the app itself may be reset.
- Tap the appropriate app.If system apps aren't visible, tap theSort and filter icon
then tap
Show system apps. - TapForce stopthen tapOK.
- TapStorage.
- TapClear data.This option may not be available for some apps.Resetting an app or clearing data storage may delete saved info within the app (e.g., calendar events may be lost).
- TapOK.
- Reset All App PreferencesThis option resets app preferences for disabled apps, notification restrictions for apps, default apps, background data restrictions for apps, and permission restrictions.
