Turn Android Device Protection On / OffAndroid™ Device Protection helps keep your moto g power 5G safe, but should be turned off before resetting, trading or selling it.
Before you begin
Android Device Protection (Kill Switch) prevents unauthorized use of your device by requiring your Gmail address and password to be entered before the device can be set up if it's reset using the alternate reset method.
When a trusted reset is performed, device protection isn't enabled.
Steps
- Review the following:
- If you have a Google™ account on your smartphone, device protection is automatically turned on. If needed, you can add one.
- To turn off device protection remove all Google accounts from the device.
