Add / Remove Fingerprint Recognition

Set up fingerprint recognition on your TCL 50 LE for fast, secure access. Remove saved fingerprints when troubleshooting or changing devices.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Settings
    Security & privacy
    Device unlock
    .
  2. Tap
    Face & fingerprint unlock
    .
  3. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Perform one of the following:
    • For first time setup
      1. Tap
        Fingerprint
        .
      2. Tap
        Add Fingerprint
        .
      3. From the Find the sensor screen, locate the sensor (Power button) then tap
        Got it
        .
      4. Follow the on-screen tutorial to scan your fingerprint then repeat as necessary until the process completes.
      5. Tap
        Done
        .
      6. Tap the
        Unlock device switch
         to turn on or off.
    • To add more fingerprints
      1. Tap
        Add fingerprint
        .
      2. Follow the on-screen tutorial to scan your fingerprint then repeat as necessary until the process completes.
      3. Tap
        Done
         if finished or
        Add fingerprints
         to continue adding fingerprints.
    • To remove fingerprint(s)
      1. Tap the fingerprint to remove.
      2. Tap
        Remove Fingerprint

      3. Tap
        Remove
        .
