Add / Remove a Wi-Fi Connection

Connect your TCL TAB 10 NXTPAPER 5G to a visible or hidden Wi-Fi network or remove a saved one. This can help with troubleshooting or make it easier to connect to networks you use.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is turned on.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Connect to an Available Wi-Fi Network
      1. Tap the preferred Wi-Fi network.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        Connect
        .
    • Manually Connect to a Wi-Fi Network
      1. Tap
        Add network
         (scroll down if needed).
      2. From the Network name field, enter the appropriate name.
      3. From the Security field, tap the
        Dropdown menu
        .
      4. Tap the appropriate security option (i.e., None, Enhanced, WEP, etc.)
      5. From the Password field, enter the password.
      6. Tap
        View more
         then ensure additional settings (e.g., EAP method, CA certificate, etc.) are configured appropriately.
      7. Tap
        Save
        .
    • Remove a Wi-Fi Connection
      1. Tap the
        3-dot Menu icon
         then tap
        Manage networks
        .
      2. Tap the Wi-Fi network you wish to remove.
      3. Tap
        Forget
        .
