Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Enabling a SIM PIN extra security to your TCL TAB 10 NXTPAPER 5G, helping to prevent unauthorized use and protect your personal info if your device is misplaced or stolen.

Before you begin

Enabling the SIM PIN locks the SIM card in your TCL TAB 10 NXTPAPER 5G so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.
If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My Verizon Website - Locate the SIM PIN / PUK to get a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    More security & privacy
    .
  3. Tap
    SIM lock
    .
  4. If necessary, tap the applicable SIM tab (e.g., Verizon 1, Verizon 2, etc.).
  5. Tap the
    Lock SIM switch
     to turn on or off.
  6. Enter the SIM PIN then tap
    OK
    .
    The default SIM PIN is 1111.
  7. To change your SIM PIN, ensure the switch is turned on then do the following:
    1. Tap
      Change SIM PIN
      .
    2. Enter the old SIM PIN (current SIM PIN) then tap
      OK
      .
    3. Enter the new SIM PIN then tap
      OK
      .
    4. Enter the new SIM PIN again then tap
      OK
       to confirm.
