Restart in Safe Mode

Safe mode is a diagnostic state on your TCL TAB 10 NXTPAPER 5G that only runs system apps so you can isolate if a third-party app is causing freezing or slowness.

Before you begin

An alternate method is available if the device can be powered on and is responsive.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     and
    Volume up button
     on the right edge of the device until options appear.
  2. Touch and hold
    Power off
     for approximately 1 second.
  3. From the Restart in safe mode prompt, tap
    Turn On Safe Mode
     then wait for the device to reboot and reboot and 'Safe mode' to appear in the lower left of the screen.
  5. To exit Safe Mode, restart the device.
