TCL FLIP 3 - Master Reset (Powered Off)

Here's how to reset your FLIP 3 to factory default settings if it has a blank / frozen screen or calling / app issues.

A master reset:

is the last resort for troubleshooting.

erases all data and restores preferences to factory default specifications.

is only recommended when the existing data has been backed up or is unwanted.

Ensure the device is powered off.

If the device is responsive and can be powered on, the preferred reset method should be performed.

Simultaneously press and hold the

Volume down button

and

Power/End Call button

on the right side of the device until the device vibrates and the TCL screen appears then release all buttons.

Allow up to 30 seconds for the recovery screen to appear.

From the KaiOS Recovery screen, select

Wipe data/factory reset

Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the Power/End Call button to select.

Reboot system now
