Enabling a SIM PIN provides extra security to your Pixel 9 Pro Fold, helping to prevent unauthorized use and protect your personal info if your device is misplaced or stolen.

Before you begin

If using a physical SIM, ensure a 5G SIM card is properly inserted.
Enabling the SIM PIN locks the SIM card in your Pixel 9 Pro Fold so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.
If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My Verizon Website - Locate the SIM PIN / PUK to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    More security & privacy
    .
  3. Tap
    Protect SIM card
    .
  4. Tap
    Lock SIM
     to turn on or off.
  5. Enter the current SIM PIN then tap
    OK
    .
    The default SIM PIN is 1111.
  6. To change your SIM PIN, ensure the 'Lock SIM' switch is turned on, tap
    Change SIM PIN
     then follow the onscreen prompts.
