Set Up Locked Folder

Set up your Locked Folder and manage log-in preferences like biometrics or PINs to protect your sensitive files and access them quickly.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Verizon Protect app
    .
  2. Tap the
    Services
     tab.
  3. Tap
    Locked Folder
    .
  4. Enter your 6-digit PIN.
    If using Locked Folder for the first time, follow the on-screen steps to create a Verizon Cloud account and 6-Digit PIN, then select 3 security questions that you can use in case you forget your PIN.
  5. Tap the
    3-dot Menu
    .
  6. Do any of the following:
    • To enable biometric login:
      1. Tap the
        Biometric authentication switch
         to turn on or off.
        When enabled, biometrics are used instead of PIN.
      2. Enter the 6-digit PIN then tap
        Done
        .
      3. If turning off, review the Turn off biometric info then tap
        OK
        .
    • To reset the 6-digit PIN:
      1. Tap
        Reset PIN
        .
      2. Enter the answer to the security question then tap
        Submit
        .
      3. Enter the new 6-digit PIN then tap
        Done
        .
    • To reset security questions:
      1. Tap
        Reset PIN
        .
      2. Select a security question, enter the answer then tap
        Next
        .
        Three security questions are required.
