Activate your moto g - 2025 to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages, and connect to the internet.

Before you begin

If using a physical SIM, ensure a 5G SIM card is inserted into the device before powering on.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the device begins to power on. Select your language then tap
    Start
    .
  2. Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap
    Next
    .
  3. Set up using another device, tap Android device or iPhone or Pad.
  4. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  5. Turn privacy and security features on or off then tap
    Accept & continue

  6. Sign in with your Google™ account or create a new one.
  7. Select who will be using the device an then tap
    Next
    .
  8. Follow the onscreen instructions to agree to Google's terms of service.
  10. To copy apps and data screen, tap
    Next
     to transfer your content or tap
    Do it later
    .
  11. Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services options (e.g., Gemini, Location, etc.).
  12. To allow Verizon Services to collect Location and App info, tap
    Accept
    .
  13. Tap
    Next
     or
    Accept
     to add more storage with Verizon Cloud or secure your device with Verizon Protect.
  14. Set your Motorola and Smart lock screen preferences then tap
    Next
    .
  15. Tap
    Got it
     to complete the setup.
