Follow these steps to unpair your Galaxy Watch8 / Watch8 Classic from your current phone and then pair with a new one.

Before you begin

If necessary, back up the Galaxy Watch8 / Watch8 Classic to save your data to the Samsung Cloud.

Steps

  1. From the watch screen, open the
    Settings app
     .
  2. Navigate:
    General
    Transfer watch to new phone
    .
  3. Review the message then tap the
    Checkmark icon
    .
    The watch resets and all data is deleted.
  4. Open the
    Galaxy Wearable app
     on the new companion smartphone.
  5. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete activation. If necessary, refer to one of the following:
