Enabling a SIM PIN provides extra security to your MiFi® PRO M4, helping to prevent unauthorized use and protect your personal info if your device is misplaced or stolen.

Before you begin

Enabling the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Personal Identification Number (PIN) locks the SIM card so it can't be used until the correct code is entered. If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My Verizon Website - Locate the 4G SIM PIN / PUK to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).

Steps

  2. From the left menu, click
    Network
    .
  3. Click the
    Cellular tab
    .
  4. From the SIM Lock Settings section, do any of the following:
    • To enable the SIM PIN:
      1. From the PIN field, enter the PIN.
        The default PIN is 1111.
      2. Click
        Turn On PIN Lock
        .
    • To disable the SIM PIN:
      1. From the PIN field, enter the PIN.
      2. Click
        Turn Off PIN Lock
        .
    • To modify the SIM PIN:
      1. Ensure the PIN Lock option is turned on.
      2. Click
        Change PIN
        .
      3. Enter the following info then click
        Change PIN
        :
        • Current PIN
        • New PIN
        • Confirm new PIN
