Google Maps - Find Driving Directions

Here's how to find driving directions with Google Maps.
  • If the Google Maps™ app isn't already installed on your device, it can be downloaded from the Google Play Store™
  • For further assistance, refer to the Google Maps Help Center.
  1. From a Home screen, tap
    Apps
    .
  2. Tap
    Maps Maps
    .
  3. Tap the
    Directions icon Directions icon
     (lower-right).
    To clear a previous search, tap the
    X
     (upper-right).
  4. Tap the mode of transportation:
    Car driving icon
    Driving
    Bus transit icon
    Transit
    Person walking icon
    Walking
    Bicycle riding icon
    Bicycling
  5. For directions beginning from a different location (other than the current location):
    1. Tap
      Your Location
      .
    2. From the Choose starting point field enter the preferred address.
      As the location is entered a list of possible places appear and the desired location can be chosen at any time.
  6. From the Choose destination field, enter the desired info (e.g., business name, address, etc.).
    As the destination is entered a list of possible places appear and the desired destination can be chosen at any time.
  7. Tap the duration (at the bottom) for a list of directions.
  8. Tap the
    Navigation icon Start nav icon
     (lower-right) to begin navigation instructions.
