Why is the FiOS Mobile Remote application not communicating with my Set-Top Box?

There are a several possible reasons why your FiOS Mobile Remote application may be having trouble communicating with your FiOS TV HD DVR or HD Set-Top Box:

  • Your Session timed out
    The application automatically disconnects after a certain amount of inactivity. To change this time period, open Settings and select Auto Exit Timer and choose a new duration. 
  • Your Set-Top Box is offline
    Please try restarting your Set-Top Box to re-establish its network connection. 
  • The Wi-Fi connection is out of range
    You may want to try to move your Wi-Fi router so that it’s closer to your FiOS TV, and therefore, your mobile device. 

  • The Wi-Fi router is offline
    Please try restarting the Wi-Fi router to re-establish its network connection.
