Fit Issue and Static Issue

I wanted to like these but 1) they didn't stay in my ears, which is a consistent problem for me but I hoped these would clip on more firmly - it doesn't help that the bud part is solid plastic, no silicone, so it doesn't seal, and 2) the equalizer in setting 1 produces static - after some googling, I figured out that equalizer setting 2 does not produce the static, but figuring this out was a pain and I'm still not sure why setting 1 produces static. Returning for over-the-ear type.
