Age verification for apps FAQs

Laws in certain US states require apps to learn your age. In these states, app stores and operating systems are required to:

• Verify your age when downloading apps.
• Get parental consent to download apps or make purchases (for minors in some states).
• Provide your age to app developers.

The My Verizon app is used for purchasing, subscribing to and advertising Verizon products and services. You must be 18 years or older to download and use the My Verizon app. If you got a message that you can't use the app, it's because your Apple® or Android™ account settings indicate you don't meet this age requirement.

If you got the "minimum age not met" message in error, check your birth date in your Apple or Android account settings.

To check your birth date on iOS:

1. Go to System Settings > [your name]. You might have to sign in to your account.
2. Tap Personal Information.
3. Click or tap your date of birth to make changes.

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Google or Accounts.
3. Then tap Manage your Google Account.
4. Tap Personal info. Scroll to the Basic info or Contact info section and tap Birthday.

To pay your bill you can either:

• Sign in to the My Verizon website. Then select Bill Overview > Pay Bill.
• Make a one-time payment without signing in. Visit the My Verizon sign in page and select Make a one-time payment at the bottom of the page.
