Google Pixel 8 Pro Software Update
Verizon is pleased to announce a software update for your device. This software update has been tested to help optimize device performance, resolve known issues, apply the latest security patches and, when available, deliver new features.
Before you download:
- Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure it has a strong Verizon wireless network connection.
- Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.

What's changing:
The current software update:
- Security
- The most up to date Android security patches for your device
- Audio
- Addressed noisy ringback tones experienced during Webex calls under certain conditions
- User Interface
- Addressed an issue where deleting a Live Universe wallpaper could occasionally cause the Wallpaper and style app to become unusable until the device was rebooted

What's changing:
The current software update addresses the following issues:
- Battery drain: Faster than normal battery depletion.
- Touch unresponsive: Intermittent touch failures observed specifically on Pixel 10.
- Cached content access: Inaccessibility of locally stored content (e.g., offline media, maps) after upgrading from Android 14 or earlier directly to Android 16.
