How to add Blocks to your account (2:01)
As an Account Owner or Manager, we put the control in your hands. Block calls, messages and services with just a few simple clicks. Go to verizon.com and sign into your My Verizon account. Use the My Verizon mobile navigation to get started.
Pick the line you want to manage.
To block a new number, click Block calls & messages.
You can block up to 5 numbers per eligible line on your account for free.*
Just enter the number, and then click Block.
Your blocked numbers will be displayed below. They'll expire after 90 days... or you can unblock them at any time.
The numbers you block will be unable to contact you by calling or messaging. Don't worry... blocked contacts won't get a notification or know you blocked them.
For iPhone users, the ability to block messages doesn't apply to iMessages. You can disable the iMessage feature from your iOS settings.
For additional options, click Block services.
Select Messaging to see how to block all messaging or just block picture and video messaging.
Turn on any blocks you want using the switch. It's easy to tell which Block is enabled... just look for the green On switch.
Select Purchases for a block that'll prevent you from charging media, apps and services to your Verizon bill.
Select Additional Services for Caller ID Blocking if you want to permanently block your number from displaying to others when you call.
Each line on your account needs its own blocks, so go ahead and follow the same steps for any other lines.
You can also add and remove blocks using the My Verizon app. From the "Mobile" page, select your device. Scroll down to "Settings & Preferences". From here, you'll see options to block specific services, calls and messages. It's that easy.
*Blocks expire after 90 days. An eligible number is one that can receive calls and texts. You can't block numbers that are on your account or emergency numbers that are not 10-digits. Tablets and Mobile Broadband devices are not eligible.
