Manage Communication Preferences

Take charge of your email, text and push notifications via the My Verizon website. Easily adjust your preferences to receive updates and offers that matter most to you.

Before you begin

To enable push notification, ensure the My Verizon app is installed and the desired mobile number is signed in.
When push notifications or text messages are enabled, ensure:

Manage Email Address

  1. From a computer, sign into My Verizon.
  2. Navigate:
    Account
    Account settings
    Communication preferences
    .
  3. From the Service preferences section, select
    Manage
    .
  4. From the Email address management section, do any of the following:
    • To add a new email address, select
      Add email address
      , enter the email address then select
      Add
      .
    • To edit an existing email address, select
      Edit
       to the right of the appropriate mobile number, enter the correct email address then select
      Save
      .
    • To remove an existing email address, select
      Delete
       to the right of the appropriate mobile number, review the confirmation message then select
      Okay
      .
    • To verify an existing email address, select
      Send verification email
       then follow the instructions in the email to verify your information.

Billing, Payment and Data Usage Notifications

  1. From a computer, sign into My Verizon.
  2. Navigate:
    Account
    Account settings
    Communication preferences
    .
  3. From the Service preferences section, select
    Manage
    .
  4. From the Notification preferences section, select
    Manage
    .
  5. Select the dropdown arrow to the right of the appropriate number then select the box(es) next to the email, SMS, or Push notifications in these sections to turn notifications on or off:
    • Billing
    • Payments
    • Data usage
    • Mobile hotspot
  6. If any box in Mobile hotspot or Data usage is turned on, select desired box(es) for data usage amounts to trigger the alert (e.g., 10%, 50%, etc.).
  7. Select
    Save
    .

Marketing Notifications

  1. From a computer, sign into My Verizon.
  2. Navigate:
    Account
    Account settings
    Communication preferences
    .
  3. From the Marketing preferences section, select
    Manage
    .
  4. Select any of the following 'Email', 'Text' or 'Push' boxes to turn updates on or off:
    • Phone, internet and TV equipment
    • Plans and pricing
    • Entertainment
    • Other products and services
  5. Select
    Submit
    .
