Change the Password for a Verizon Website

Updating your My Verizon password helps secure your account and ensures continued, safe access to essential services like Verizon Family and Verizon Cloud.

Before you begin

If you forgot the current password, refer to Reset the Password for the Verizon Website.

Steps

  1. From a web browser, sign in to My Verizon using the mobile number you want to change the password for.
  2. From the My Verizon Home screen, navigate:
    Profile & settings
    Change password
    .
  3. Enter the current and new info in the appropriate fields then select
    Save Changes
    .
  4. Choose a mobile number or email to send the Authorization Code to then select
    Send
    .
    If your device doesn't receive text messages and you have an email address on record, a secure email is sent to complete registration. Also, a temporary password is sent through US Mail as a backup.
  5. Enter the Authorization Code received in the message then select
    Confirm
    .
