Add a Block - Call & Message Blocking - My Verizon Website

Here's how to temporarily block calls and messages from specific numbers for free via the My Verizon website.
Call and Message Blocking is a free, temporary service that lasts up to 90 days and blocks up to 5 phone numbers. For a permanent solution or to block more numbers, check out the following:
  • Verizon Family: Permanently block calls, texts and other messages for up to 20 numbers.
  • Call Filter: Screen incoming calls, auto-block spam (robocalls) and report any unwanted numbers.
  1. From a web browser, sign in to My Verizon.
  2. From the My Verizon Home screen, navigate:
    Account
    My plan
    Blocks
    .
  3. Select the appropriate mobile number.
  4. Select
    Block calls & messages
     then do the following:
    Not available if enrolled in Verizon Family.
    1. In the Number field, enter the 10-digit phone number you wish to block.
      Only 5 phone numbers can be blocked.
    2. If desired, enter a note in the Memo field.
    3. If desired, select the box next to 'Apply block to all eligible lines on this account'.
  5. Select
    Save
    .
    Incoming calls from blocked numbers are automatically sent to voicemail.
    Incoming text messages from blocked numbers are not delivered.
