Verizon Cloud - Transfer Content - Android Smartphone

Here's how to use the Verizon Cloud app on your Android smartphone to transfer content between devices.

  1. Ensure both phones (old and new) are connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. Open
    Verizon Cloud
    on both phones.
  3. Navigate:
    More
    Account & Content Tools
    Content transfer
    .
  4. If prompted, review the Heads-up info then tap
    Got it
    .
  5. On both phones, review the info then tap
    Start Transfer
    .
  6. On the new phone, tap
    This is my new phone
    then tap
    Next
    .
  7. On the old phone, tap
    This is my old phone
    then tap
    Next
    .
  8. If presented with a Wi-Fi disconnect message, tap
    I understand
    on both phones.
  9. On both phones, select the appropriate option (Android to Android, iPhone to Android, etc.) then tap
    Next
    .
  10. Using the camera on the old phone, scan the
    QR code
    displayed on the screen of the new phone.
    If a phone name doesn't appear or you're using an older phone, refer to the 'Manually Transfer Using Wi-Fi' section below.
  11. On the new phone, tap
    Accept
    .
  12. On the old phone, select the desired media (e.g., Contacts, Photos, Videos, etc.) to transfer to the new phone then tap
    Transfer
    .
  13. When the transfer is finished, tap
    Done
    on both phones.
  14. From the Transfer Summary screen, tap
    Done
    .
Ensure both phones are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

    on both phones.
  3. Navigate:

  18. On the old phone, enter the code displayed on the new phone then tap
