Verizon Cloud - Transfer Content - Apple iPhone

Here's how to use the Verizon Cloud app on your iPhone to transfer content between devices.
  • Any contacts or media backed up to a cloud service (e.g., Verizon Cloud, iCloud® , Google™ Drive, etc.) aren't transferred by the Content Transfer process and must be restored to your device using that service.
  • Content Transfer only transfers contacts, media, etc. to the new phone that hasn't already been backed up to a cloud service. To restore content from a Verizon Cloud backup, refer to Verizon Cloud - Apple®iPhone® - Restore Content.

  1. Ensure both phones (old and new) are connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the
    Verizon Cloud app
     on both phones.
  3. Navigate:
    More
    Account & Content Tools
    Content transfer
    .
  4. If prompted, tap
    OK
     to use Bluetooth.
  5. If prompted, review the Heads-up info then tap
    Continue
    .
  6. On both phones, review the info then tap
    Start transfer
    .
  7. On the new phone, tap
    This is my new phone
     then tap
    Next
    .
  8. On the old phone, tap
    This is my old phone
     then tap
    Next
    .
  9. If presented with a Wi-Fi disconnect message, tap
    I understand
     on both phones.
  10. On both phones, select the appropriate option (iPhone to iPhone, iPhone to Other, etc.) then tap
    Next
    .
  11. If prompted, turn off Bluetooth on both phones:
    1. Tap
      Settings
      .
    2. Tap the
      Bluetooth Sharing switch
       to turn it off.
    3. Tap the
      Content Transfer back arrow
      .
  12. Using the camera on the old phone, scan the
    QR code
     displayed on the screen of the new phone.
    If a phone name doesn't appear or you're using an older phone, refer to the 'Manually Transfer Using Wi-Fi' section below.
  13. If prompted, tap
    Confirm
     on the new phone.
  14. On the old phone, select the desired media (e.g., Contacts, Photos, Videos, etc.) to transfer to the new phone then tap
    Transfer
    .
  15. When the transfer is finished, tap
    Done
     on both phones.
  16. From the Transfer Summary screen, tap
    Done

Ensure both phones are connected to the same Wi-Fi Network.
  1. Ensure both phones (old and new) are connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the
    Verizon Cloud app
     on both phones.
  3. Navigate:

    Content transfer

  4. If prompted, review the Heads-up info then tap

  16. If presented with a Wi-Fi disconnect message, tap

  17. On both phones, select the appropriate option (iPhone to iPhone, iPhone to Other, etc.) then tap

  18. Verify that both phones are on the same Wi-Fi network then tap

  19. On the old phone, enter the code displayed on the new phone then tap

  20. On the old phone, select the desired media (e.g., Contacts, Photos, Videos, etc.) to transfer to the new phone then tap

  21. When the transfer is finished, on both phones, tap
