Phone to Phone Content TransferUse the My Verizon app to safely and securely copy your contacts, photos, videos and more directly from your old phone to your new one, via Wi-Fi or the Verizon wireless network.
Before you begin
If transferring content via Wi-Fi, both devices must be connected to the same secure Wi-Fi network.

Transfer Content using Mobile Network
- Open theMy Verizon appon both the old and new device.
- Tap theMobile tab.
- From the Mobile links section tapManage devices.
- If necessary, select the applicable mobile number from the dropdown in the upper-right.
- TapTroubleshooting & supportthen tapTransfer content between phones.
- If prompted to give the applicable permissions (e.g., Access contacts, Access to make and manage phone calls, Access the calendar, etc.) tap 'Allow' or 'OK'.
- TapStart Transferthen do the following:
- On the old device, tapThis is my old phonethen tapNext.
- On the new device, tapThis is my new phonethen tapNext.
- If presented with a Wi-Fi disconnect screen, tapI Understand.
- Select the applicable option then tapNext:
- Android to Android
- Android to iPhone
- iPhone to iPhone
- iPhone to Other
- If prompted with a default messaging screen, tapOK.
- If prompted to turn off Bluetooth® to start service, tapSettingsthen tap theBluetooth switchto turn off.
- Using the new device, scan the QR code that is displayed on the old device.If necessary, repeat steps 1-11 with the other device to display the QR code screen.If a phone name doesn't appear or you're using an older phone, tapManual setupto connect via Wi-Fi.
- On the new device, tapConfirm.
- Using the old device, select the desired media (e.g., Contacts, Photos, Videos, etc.) to transfer to the new phone then tapTransfer.
- To continue, tapDone.
Transfer Content Using Wi-Fi
- Open theMy Verizon appon both the old and new device.

- Using the new device, scan the QR code that is displayed on the old device.
- TapManual Setupthen tapOKto restart the app.Complete these steps on both devices (old and new).
- TapStart Transferthen do the following:
- On the old device, tapThis is my old phonethen tapNext.
- On the new device, tapThis is my new phonethen tapNext.
- If presented with a Wi-Fi disconnect screen, tapI Understand.
- Select the applicable option then tapNext.
- Android to Android
- Android to iPhone
- iPhone to iPhone
- iPhone to Other
- If prompted with a default messaging screen, tapOK.
- Review the message then tapContinue.If necessary, tapWi-Fi settings, select the same Wi-Fi network on both devices, tapConnectthen tapNext.
- Do the following:
- On the old device, selectI don't see my phonethen tapNext.
- On the new device, tapI don't see it.
- Verify the same Wi-Fi network is displayed on both devices then tapNext.
- Using the old device, enter the code displayed on the new device then tapNext.
- Select the desired media to transfer (e.g., Contacts, Photos, Videos, etc.) to the new phone then tapTransfer.
- To continue, tapDone.
