LG G6 - Factory Data Reset (Powered On)

Here's how to factory / hard reset your LG G6 if the screen freezes or call, app, audio or sync issues occur.

Perform a factory data reset only if necessary as it removes your Google™ account and all data including system data, app data and media.

Music, pictures and videos can be backed up to a computer.

Personal data (e.g., Wi-Fi passwords, browser bookmarks, etc.) can be backed up to Google's servers.

Settings app

An alternate reset method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.

Restart & Reset

Tap

Factory data reset

Tap

RESET PHONE

If presented, enter the current unlock pattern, PIN or password.

If desired, select to have content on the SD / memory card erased as well.

Tap

Delete all

Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.

If needed, refer to set up your device after the reset completes. If troubleshooting third-party apps, disable the Automatic Restore option.
