ASUS ZenPad Z8s - Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your ASUS ZenPad™ Z8s makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style

Add Apps

  1. Touch and hold an app.
  2. Drag the shortcut to the preferred Home screen then release.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.

Add Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Touch and hold a widget.
  4. Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.
    For the widget to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.
    Options vary depending on the type of widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g. Email).
  2. Drag the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Gmail) then release.
    A folder containing the shortcuts is created (titled Unnamed Folder). To rename the folder:
    To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
    1. Tap the folder.
    2. Tap the
      Title bar
       at the top of the open folder.
    3. Enter a name then tap
      Done
      .

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widgets, shortcuts, folders, etc.).
  2. Drag the item to Remove Trashcan icon at the top of the screen then release.

Set Wallpaper

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpapers
    .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Select the wallpaper image from the bottom of the screen.
        Swipe the
        screen
         from the bottom to the left or right to display more wallpapers.
      2. Tap
        Set wallpaper
        .
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        Select Image
        .
        If necessary, swipe the
        screen
         from the bottom to the right.
      2. Locate then select the preferred picture.
      3. Tap
        Apply
        .
