My Verizon app - Transfer Your Service

Here's how to transfer ownership of your line to someone else via the My Verizon app.
Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  1. Open the
    My Verizon app
    from the Account Owner or Account Manager device.
    If you're not able to access the My Verizon app, you can also visit the My Verizon website to transfer service.
  2. Tap the
    Account tab
    .
    If prompted, enter your password, fingerprint or Face ID.
  3. From the Devices section, tap any mobile number.
  4. From the Device Management section, tap
    Transfer your service
    .
  5. Tap
    Start a new transfer
    .
  6. Select the line(s) to be transferred then tap
    Continue
    .
  7. Select 'I want to transfer line(s) to a personal account' or 'I want to transfer line(s) to a business account', enter the applicable info then tap
    Continue
    .
  8. Review the Disclosures and Authorizations, tap
    Accept & Acknowledge
    .
  9. From the Review And Confirm Your Transfer Request screen, make sure everything is correct then tap
    Continue
    .
    An email with instructions on how to approve and complete the transfer is sent to you and the person assuming liability for your wireless number.
