Push To Talk Plus - Send a Text Message

Here's how to send a Push To Talk Plus text message.
  • Ensure the PTT+ app has been updated to the most recent version for Android™ or iOS.
  • Pictures, video, location, voice messages or PDF files are sent by attachment.
  • Text message length is up to 500 characters and you cannot continue typing once that's been reached.

Send a Message

  1. From the Ready screen, tap the
    Message icon
     View or send message icon.
    Alternatively, tap the
    History icon
     Recent icon.
    Push to Talk Plus call ready screen
  2. From the Enter text field, enter your message.
  3. Tap the
    Send icon
     Send icon.
    Message thread screen

Send a Quick Text

  1. From the Ready screen, tap the
    Message icon
     View or send message icon.
    Alternatively, tap the
    History icon
     Recent icon.
    Push to Talk Plus call ready screen
  2. From the Enter text field, tap the
    Quick message icon
     Quick text icon.
    Message thread screen

  3. From Select Quick Text, tap the appropriate Quick text message then tap the
    Send icon
     Send icon.
    Alternatively, tap
    Add Quick Text
     , enter a predefined message then tap the
    Save icon
     Done icon to confirm and
    Done
     to exit edit mode.
